WBT seeks to see Australian Christians helping indigenous peoples of the world become true disciples of Jesus Christ through the power of His Word in their heart language. Wycliffe Bible Translators is operating out of more than 40 countries throughout Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific.
According to Ethnologue, There are 6,912 spoken languages in the world. 2,403 or 35% of these have at least one book of the Bible and of these, 426 have a complete Bible.

"Vision 2025", was adopted in June 1999 at the International Conference of Wycliffe and SIL International (Wycliffe's sister organisation). The vision is that by the year 2025 a Bible translation project will be in progress for every people group that needs it. There are 1,941 active projects around the globe today and Wycliffe is involved with 70% of that effort. Beyond this, work needs to begin in around 2,286 known languages.

WBT Australia run a number of programs for churches designed to help them find their place in missions and to stimulate people for evangelism and ministry.

WBT Australia facilitate Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) courses designed to train people for the ministry of Bible translation.

WBT Australia produce Computer, Video, and Print related media to inform, teach, and inspire churches for missions.

Together with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), Wycliffe operate a motel in Cairns called Tree Tops Lodge. This lodge benefits the ministry in amazing ways.

WBT Australia also operate mission awareness tours, and conduct construction projects for associated missions.
