New Tribes Mission is a missionary organization dedicated to serving the local church in the planting of indigenous churches among un-reached people groups. Our primary focus is to see self supporting, self propagating and self governing New Testament churches established that truly glorify God.

In 1942, founder Paul Fleming and five others dared to trust God to establish NTM. They had no funds or organisation behind them, but Paul wrote, "It seemed that the Lord had pushed us into something, and we were confident that no man started New Tribes Mission; the Lord brought it into existence in spite of us." The mission has been blessed by God since then with tremendous growth and today NTM has around 3100 missionaries from 29 countries around the world. Over 815 new testament churches have been established, many of which are now governed by their own elders. NTM work with more than 200 language groups in 17 different countries throughout:

• Central and South America
• West Africa
• Central Asia
• Western Pacific
• Greenland
• Mongolia
• Russia
• Australia
  

But the task of world evangelism remains immense with over 4000 language groups who have not heard the name of Jesus Christ in their own language. In a recent survey (7/2000) in East New Britain (PNG), four different groups asked for missionaries to come and teach them God's Word. As can be seen there are many opportunities for service in a variety of ways.
