The Read Through the Bible in Three Years plan is still running on this web site and can be followed on the above 3 Year Bible link. This year however, we continue with a year of the most favourite Bible passages grouped together under one or more themes each month. You will notice that the reading may be short, sometimes only a few verses, seldom more than twenty. Also you will probably read some passages more than once, but in a different context.
If you are settled into a regular pattern with your devotional time, please continue to enjoy it, but if you are not in the habit of regular Bible reading; here is your opportunity. Make a habit of selecting something from each reading to encourage and fuel your prayer time. A point of praise; encouragement to pray; a lesson to learn or an example to follow. Use the Bible passage to keep your prayer time active and interesting. Look for God to speak to you through His word and wait on Him. He is not in a hurry. Then share this blessing with someone else.
Each month we will update the tables below to include the current month's readings, until eventually another full year is portrayed. It will then always be available from our Archive of Study sections.
Very many pointers to the life of Jesus are found embedded in the Old Testament record. They are prophetic. The Old Testament usually does not say that they are a prophecy to the life of Jesus, but the words are so clear and consistently given that they can be nothing else. There is no excuse for assuming that the life of Jesus is anything else but divinely appointed. There is no excuse to not believe in Him. Look up these references in your own Bible, and confidently trust Him as your Redeemer.

Prophecies of the nature of the person of Jesus. The Old Testament foretold in both statement and inference the type of person the coming Christ would turn out to be. And by statements of fulfilment in the life of Jesus, our references are indicators. To better understand, read the context as well as the verses to which Green Leaf directs you. In March readings we look at the nature of Jesus - His character, the hallmarks of His being and we take the elements one by one. On Friday 31st review, revise and remember them for they show just something of the man that He is. Your Redeemer.

With Easter celebrations coming up in a few days, we introduce the purpose and meaning of the sacrifice by crucifixion of the Lord Jesus, his resurrection. The early apostles mission was to the Gentile world. Our present Church stands solidly upon their sacrificial ministry. We trace all that in this month’s introductory readings.
