Series 10. Stories Jesus Told | |
10.1 Rules for Interpreting Parables (40KB) | Jesus often taught through stories. None of the stories presented here are based on actual events. All were intended to teach the disciples an important lesson. They are known as parables for this reason. Often the parables were not intended for the large crowds gathered around Him and His followers. So Jesus would tell the stories in such a way that only those familiar with His teaching would gain an insight. Even then the disciples often needed the parables explained. |
