HCJB World radio is an evangelical, interdenominational, multicultural faith mission involved in both radio broadcasting and health ministries. Together with partners, radio ministries are carried out in more than 100 countries and in over 120 languages. Missionaries, employees and volunteers make up more than 1000 personnel who are involved in international and local broadcasting, television production, health care, education and technical ministries.

On 25th December 1931, the first HCJB transmission over short wave went to air. Shortwave is still the principal wave band but today is supplemented by local AM and FM and by satellite in order to broadcast to 80% of the world's populated land mass. HCJB's policy is to:

• Proclaim the message of salvation
• Be non-political
• Consentrate on the needs of the audience
• Include local culture, news, sport, editorial, and music
